How to Transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards Points to Hyatt: A Complete Guide (2025)
With points, you can go on incredibly trips around the world, such as to the internationally-renowned Park Hyatt Kyoto property
Chase Ultimate Rewards points are some of the most valuable you can earn across credit cards and travel ecosystems.
While there are a variety of reasons that Chase points are considered so valuable, one of the biggest is that they can be transferred to a variety of high-value travel partners, including United, Southwest, and Emirates Air. However, many in the points game agree that out of all the transfer partners, the most versatile and best-value is Hyatt Hotels and their World of Hyatt ecosystem.
Hyatt is a worldwide hotel chain with an impressive variety of properties, including everything from cheap no-frills airport stays to massive all-inclusive resorts. Unlike other hotel chains that price their point redemptions dynamically on a hotel-by-hotel demand-based system, Hyatt has a set list of categories to group hotels (1-8 for standard hotels, A-F for all-inclusive resorts) which charge you specific bands of prices for hotels.
The Hyatt point ecosystem chart
Because of this static categorization, it is FAR easier to get good deals using Hyatt points than using other hotel points (e.g., Hilton, Marriott), since the price of your stay will not depend on demand.
Using Hyatt points for your stays is an incredible way to stay at hotels for a fraction of the normal cost or no cost at all! For instance, we’ve used our Chase/Hyatt points to book stays at some of the best hotels in the world—like Alila Kothaifaru Maldives and Park Hyatt Kyoto—without having to pay a cent. Transferring Chase points to Hyatt and then booking directly with Hyatt is one of the easiest ways to get good value out of your points with minimal work and research.
Before we begin the guide, it’s important to keep some basic points in mind about transferring points from Chase to Hyatt:
You can only transfer points from a Chase Ultimate Rewards-earning credit card. For instance, you would need the Chase Sapphire Preferred in addition to the Chase Freedom Unlimited in order to transfer points. Click here to get the ETA Points guide to every Chase credit card!
The transfer ratio between the two systems is 1:1, meaning that 1 Chase Ultimate Rewards point will equal 1 World of Hyatt point.
There is no fee to transfer points from Chase Ultimate Rewards to your World of Hyatt account.
In most circumstances, only one person can transfer to a specific Hyatt account (e.g., no sharing points across accounts with family or friends).
With that out of the way, let’s jump into the guide on how to transfer Chase Ultimate Reward Points to your World of Hyatt account:
