The 5 Best Hyatt Hotels in Paris (for Tourists, Points, and More)
Paris is one of the definitive cultural capitals of the world. With iconic sights, seemingly never-ending cafes, and incredible job opportunities, the City of Light offers a plethora of reasons to visit.
However, whether you’re looking to see the world’s most famous art at the Louvre, explore stunning tourist destinations like the Eiffel Tower, or just travel for work, one of the most important parts of your travel journey is your choice of hotel. As many know first-hand, selecting the wrong hotel can make a mess of even the best-planned trip.
Conveniently, Paris has some of the world’s best hotels and particularly an impressive range of options within the Hyatt hotel catalog. Hyatt is one of our favorite Hotel chains for using hotel/credit card points (specifically, World of Hyatt points) to book your stays, and offers a wide variety of properties across the globe. Due to Hyatt’s static rewards chart, booking your redemptions can often return 2+ cents per point! Chase Bank also enables you to transfer your Ultimate Rewards points directly to Hyatt, further increasing the total point pool for bookings.
To help you decide which Paris Hyatt hotel makes the best sense for your next visit, we’ve compiled a list of recommendations based on our copious personal experience and thorough research. While everyone’s preference varies and many of the Hyatt hotels not on this list are still excellent, these are our five favorite options based on important factors such as price, location within Paris, range of amenities, overall service, and room quality.
We hope this guide helps you plan your next hotel stay in Paris! Let’s dive into our top 5 recommendations:
The 5 Best Hyatt Properties in Paris
Best for Tourists & Vacation — Hyatt Paris Madaline
If this is your first time going to Paris, there is no better Hyatt than the Hyatt Paris Madaline. While all the other hotels on our list have their benefits, none will get you closer to the feeling of actually living in Paris than the Madaline. With a more boutique feel than the larger Hyatts in Paris, while still being in an excellent location for visiting many of the biggest attractions in Paris (right near Plaza de Concorde), Hyatt Madaline creates a unique experience that gives the best of what Paris has to offer. This includes playing far more into the classic romance that people associate with Paris—if you’re looking for a special stay with a partner, the Madaline is the clear winner.
Hyatt Paris Madaline also has great views of the city skyline—with a direct view of the Eiffel Tower—so you never forget the magic of your surroundings. If you want to travel elsewhere in the city, many of the most common destinations are within walking distance; however, there is a metro station located very close by for any further trips elsewhere in Paris.
While the hotel is not cheap, with stays starting from $500 or 25,000 points per night, there is no other Hyatt property on this list that will give you the magical Paris experience better than the Hyatt Paris Madaline. If you’re traveling to Paris for the first time and want to experience the feel of the city, make sure to check out the Madaline.
Best for Location — Hôtel du Louvre
While the Hyatt Paris Madaline has an excellent location, the Hôtel du Louvre takes it a step further; if you’re hoping to have the best possible starting point to see the city and the most famous destinations, Hôtel du Louvre is by far the best option.
To start, the property is located extremely close to one of the biggest tourist attractions in the world, the Louvre museum (Musée du Louvre).
For visits to the Louvre, there is no better Hyatt property; since the hotel is located so close to the museum, you can beat the crowds for the Mona Lisa by visiting the museum easily at off-peak hours. However, while the Hôtel du Louvre is located perfectly for visits to the museum, it’s also amazingly positioned for visits to the city center and surrounding attractions. If you’ve ever been to London, this hotel is the Paris equivalent of London’s Great Scotland Yard, providing easy access to both major attractions and the broader city.
Best for Points Bookings — Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme
If you’re hoping to book your next stay in Paris with World of Hyatt or Chase points, there’s one clear best option: the Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme. This property is by far the most expensive Hyatt property in Paris, with cash prices frequently starting as high as $1500 per night!
However, Hyatt is known for giving excellent point value, and this property is a textbook example. While the cash price is thousands of dollars, you can consistently book this Category 8 property for just 35,000-40,000 points per night!
When we talk about getting good value out of your points, this is a perfect example of what we mean. If you were to book the above room with points, you’d be getting an easy 4.3 cents per point. Not only is this incredible value for your money, but is also a chance to stay at a luxurious hotel that you might not be willing to pay for with cash. This hotel is easily the fanciest Hyatt in Paris, and while we may not think it’s worth the full $1500+ a night, it is absolutely worth 35,000-40,000 points for an incredible stay right in the heart of Paris.
Best for Budget — Hyatt Regency Paris Étoile
If you’re looking to stay at a Hyatt property in downtown Paris on a tighter budget, there’s one clear option: Hyatt Regency Paris Étoile. There’s no way around it—this hotel is far cheaper than the other downtown Hyatt hotels on this list. If you book far enough ahead (which is a necessity for getting good rates at this property), rooms can go for as little as €250 per night! While this is by no means cheap, compared to the €600+ per night at many of the other Paris Hyatt properties, the Hyatt Regency Paris Étoile is by far the cheapest option.
However, the best part of this Hyatt Regency is that you aren’t sacrificing quality for the lower price. While the rooms at the Regency Paris will be on the smaller side, the building feels more corporate, and you’ll have to commute further (though easy by metro) to get to many of the major tourist attractions, you’re still getting amazing views of the Paris skyline (see below), a far less hectic/crowded area, and more classic hotel experience.
Best for Convenient Travel — Hyatt Place Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport
Sometimes, all that matters for a trip is making the travel as easy and convenient as possible. Maybe you have an early flight, or are trying to travel as efficiently as possible; regardless, one of the best ways to keep your travel simple is to stay at an airport hotel the night before or after your flight.
Luckily for any travelers heading to or from Paris, Hyatt Place at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport is located right near France’s biggest airport. Not to be confused with the Hyatt House at the same property (designed for longer stays), the Hyatt place is the perfect spot to spend a night before an early flight and is just a short drive/taxi ride to the airport.
While the location is extremely convenient, the hotel itself is nothing special—we’re not going to tell you that you’re going to experience any extreme luxury while you’re at this Hyatt Place. But in fairness, it’s not trying to be more than a standard airport hotel; it’ll have a bed, some food options, and a concierge that will call you a taxi. However, you’re also going to be paying far less at this Hyatt than at any of the other options on this list, with rates as low as $110 or 8,000 points a night.
While not in downtown Paris like all the other options on this list, Hyatt Place at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport is the perfect Hyatt property for a convenient location and easy inbound or outward flights.
